Build a Personal Relationship with the Lord
The only way for us to build a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is to pray and ask for wisdom and understanding of the word of God and then read it. I have heard of several reasons why people do not read their bibles. It’s not so much, that they don’t want to read their bible. They just allow their excuses to dictate their reasons for not reading. They need to allow those same excuses to motivate them. One excuse, is, “I just can't find the time”. The bible does not say how long you need to read the bible. It does say, to meditate on the word,and you can do that one verse at a time, if that is all the time you can find to spend with the Lord. We provide you with a daily scripture to start with. If you really want to get closer to God, you can set your clock to wake up 5 minutes earlier. Put together a "Reading Plan" while having a cup of coffee or tea and read your bible in bed. Another excuse I have heard is, "I don't know where to start" . Start with a book in the New Testament, the Old Testament or with a story from the bible. How about starting, by looking up a question you have been wondering about. You can click on “QUESTION OR KEY WORD” and type in a word or phrase within your question. For example, type in “meditate”, “forgiveness” or “saved” in the box and see what come up. Go ahead, try it and see what happens. But be careful, you will be opening yourself up to a blessing.
